OCEAN SUMMER SCHOOL UNIT

To start our ocean animal unit we read some fiction books about fish: The Rainbow Fish and Pout Pout Fish. We completed these activites.



 We drew the pout pout fish from Denna Jumps unit and wrote about how we feel when we are sad.

Here is another example of pout pout fish and kiss kiss fish. We made connections to the story.

 We also read The Rainbow Fish by: Marcus Phister and made a prediction before we read the story about what we think Rianbow Fish looks like and then we drew what he actually looks like.

We drew our names and made each letter into a rainbow.

Summer!!!

Happy Summer!! I hope everyone is having a great summer. I am getting ready to post pictures of my classroom and ideas for ocean theme classroom.

I will also add ideas/you tube videos to the grammar section and update the other sections.

v  April 26^th –Chick-fil-A Night

v  April 30^th-PTA food drive starts; please  bring in canned food

v  May 3^rd- kindergarten registration 1-6

v  May 4^th –Hat day if you bring a dollar

v  May 8^th- Field day 12”15-2:15 You are welcome to come and join the fun

v  May 9, 10^th, and 11^th- PROGRESS checks 8:30-till around 10

v  May 14^th- Writer’s Celebration 1:00-2:00 (PLEASE plan on coming to hear your child read his/her stories that he/she  has written this year) More information to come home soon

v  May 16^th Author visit

v  May 18^th- Market Day 9:00-10:30 You are welcome to come and shop with your child.

v  May 22- End of the year party 10-10:30

v  May 23^rd- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
