Chick-fil-A Spirit Night – Jackson’s next Chick-fil-A Spirit Night will be Thursday, January 26 from 5:30-8:30 pm. Please remind students and parents to have the cashier press the “Spirit Night” button on the register in order for sales to count towards Jackson Elementary.

Candy Grams - Candy Grams will be sold as "preorders" only. The cost is $1.00 per candy gram and parents may order as many as they would like. The message that they write on the order form will be attached to a Jolly Rancher lollipop and student council members will deliver them the morning of Friday, February 10. Please let Ashley Wood know if you have any questions.
Spring Pictures – February 6 for K – 2nd and February 7 for 3rd – 5th. Information will go home with students next week.
The Butter Braids Fundraiser will run November 14 – December 1. The money raised will be used to improve Jackson's technology. I hope you can all participate!
Our Thanksgiving Break begins from November 19th! We will be BACK in school on November 28th.
Book Fair at Jackson!
Our class will PREVIEW the Scholastic Book Fair on November 28th at 12:30.
Parents, you can take your child to the book fair when you come for our Holiday Luncheon on November 30th!
Maybe you can purchase a lovely book for our Holiday Book Exchange!
Holiday Luncheon
Our annual Holiday Lunch for 1st graders will be on November 30th, Wednesday. Our class will sit down and eat from 12:09. Please mark your calendar! Don't be late!
Reading - Wednesday, December 7
English/Language Arts - Thursday, December 8
Math - Friday, December 9
Testing will take place from 8:30-10:30 each morning.
Unless your child is ill, please send your child to school on time. The assessment does count towards a report card grade. Any student who misses the test will need to make it up.
Our Winter Party and Holiday Book Exchange are both on December 15th, Thursday, from 10:00!
Posttest 2 Assessment schedule:
No school on Monday, September 5, 2011.
Math and Science Night is coming up on September 15th from 5:15-7:30.
I am very excited to welcome our practicum student. She will be observing and working with your child till Thanksgiving.
